Paola SUÁREZ is a professor at National University of Mexico . She is a PhD candidate of Center for Research and High Studies on Social Anthropology (CIESAS, México), and she obtained a degree in Social Anthropology (MSc). During her PhD, Paola Suárez has been a Visiting Scholar at the Institute of Governmental Studies (IGS) of the University of California in Berkeley. In her researches, Paola Suárez focuses on the effects of the convergence of local government law and migration policies, crimmigration and cultural studies of US-Mexico border.
